hallett hall

PictureAcross Eighth Street, east of the main part of campus, is East Complex, which was completed in 1968. It is composed of Hallett Hall for women and Erickson Hall for men. Hallett Hall houses 231 women, and is named for Jessie Fern Hallett. She and her husband, Ernest, of Crosby, Minnesota, were major benefactors of the college. Hallett contains its own lounge and recreational facilities as well.

Information desk: The hall information desk is located in the main lobby and is open from 2 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday-Thursday, and noon to 6 a.m. Friday-Sunday. In addition to providing student phone numbers, the desk staff also makes change and checks out equipment, such as pool cues and balls, ping pong equipment, limited cooking utensils, vacuums, VCRs, and movies.

Each room is furnished with beds (80'' x 39''), a built-in closet, dressers, mirror, fixed desks, chairs, bookshelves, study lamps, curtains and a private telephone. The beds are able to be bunked, or lofts may be rented from College Services.

The college does not assume liability for items stored in the storage room. Also, items which are unmarked, or unclaimed for two years, will be donated to local charities or otherwise disposed of.
