bogstad apartments

PictureConcordia's Bogstad Manor, Bogstad East, Boe-Olsen, the International Center, provide apartment-style living for upper class students.   Townhouse provide apartment-style living for juniors and seniors. While offering a different social environment than most residence halls, the college apartments are managed under the same policies and regulations that govern campus housing. The apartments are staffed by a building director and resident assistants (RAs). All apartments are fully furnished and equipped with a kitchen, which means that residents are not required to participate in the college's board plan.

Built in 1976 and 1988, respectively, these two apartment complexes carry the name of Rasmus Bogstad, the third president of Concordia College. Each building contains 30 two-bedroom and three one-bedroom units for a total of 122 junior and senior Cobbers.

Apartments: Most apartments contain two bedrooms, a bathroom, living and dining rooms, and a kitchen. They are furnished with bunkable beds (80" x 39"), desks, chairs, living and dining room furniture, curtains, a private telephone, and a stove and refrigerator. Additional refrigeration units must be approved in advance.

Lounges: There is a small lounge in Bogstad Manor. Bogstad Manor East has two lounges, one on second and one on third floor.

Laundry Facilities: Each building has laundry rooms with automatic commercial washing machines and dryers. Laundry machines are activated by funds from your student ID card.  Ironing boards are available; students furnish their own irons.

Cleaning Equipment: Vacuum cleaners may be checked out from an RA.

Storage Room: A limited amount of storage space is available in each building for the storage of seldom-used items. Contact a staff member to make arrangements for its use. You may not store empty boxes or other bulky or hazardous material. The college does not assume liability for items stored in storage rooms. Also, items which are unmarked, or unclaimed for two years, will be donated to local charities or otherwise disposed of.
