God invites us to worship. We may expect worship to fill our needs;
more important, to be fully human we need to worship and praise God.
God's creative care and love for the creation, particularly in
Jesus Christ, is the most important truth in our lives.
Worship is a drama that rehearses that story and defines us and
this institution.
Worship draws us out of ourselves to be part of a larger community-
it's not just me, it's not even just my small group, or just Concordia,
but God's care is for the whole world.
In worship, and other places, as we hear the stories of others
and sing the songs of others, we are bonded to the global community.
In worship we celebrate together.
In worship, we pray for those in need? This is a dramatic way
we show both our concern for others and remind ourselves that we
can's fix everything.
In worship, we are challenged to live out our faith in our life
together here and beyond the campus.
In worship, we gather around Word and sacrament to be nourished
so we can accomplish our mission.
