Why is worship at the center of our life together at Concordia College?
The many "languages" of a liberal arts education find their common language in worship. Worship unites the campus. Our worship is centered in the Word and Sacraments and grounded in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our services are marked by lively preaching, music and liturgy. As creatures of God, it is our calling to praise God. We need to worship God. Through worship our daily lives are connected to a more profound reality.
This is a college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The Lutheran Church gathers around the Word and Sacraments regularly for worship. In fact, the Word and Sacraments create the church-- they are our reason for being.
