2006 NAFSA Senator Paul Simon Award

Concordia is pleased to be selected by NAFSA: Association of International Educators to receive the 2006 Senator Paul Simon Award for Campus Internationalization.  The award recognizes institutions for overall excellence in internationalization efforts as evidenced in practices, structures, philosophies, and policies.   Concordia is one of the first 21 schools in America to receive the award.  Some other schools who have received the award this year or previously are Yale University, Colgate University, Michigan State University, Purdue University, UCLA, and Duke University.

NAFSA information about the award and about all the selected schools is available.  A report, made possible with support from the Bureau of Educational & Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, cites exemplary practices, model approaches, and major trends, describing the current state of international education at selected schools.
