Services Available
- Diagnosis and outpatient treatment of respiratory, gastrointestinal,
genitourinary, skin, neuromuscular and orthopaedic conditions
- Physical examination for varsity athletics, graduate school application,
premarital requests and employment
- Psychiatric services and referrals
- Gynecological services - pregnancy testing - prenatal care
- Diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases
- Certified laboratory tests and X-rays
- Limited immunizations - TB screening
- First aid
- Suture and structure removal
- Allergy injections
- Support services for rape and abuse
- Nutrition and diet counseling
- Referral to specialists
Those needing counseling outside the realm of the Health Center are referred
to appropriate counselors or agencies.
Hospitalization is arranged for a student when he/she cannot be safely or
reasonably treated as an outpatient.
Costs
Nearly all examinations and consultations at the health service are available
to you at a reduced charge. Routine laboratory tests, Pap smears, physical
therapy treatments, medications and allergy injections are administered to
students for a reasonable fee. All charges not covered by insurance will
be the responsibility of the student or his/her parents.
Insurance
It is strongly recommended that students who are not covered by their parent's
insurance policy participate in the group plan offered to Concordia students.
