Because Concordia College
once stood in the middle of a cornfield, students were given the name "Cobbers." But,
who really are Cobbers?
While a few students juggle part-time
classes, family life and a career, 97 percent of all Cobbers are full-time
students.
All Cobbers are undergraduates and
most come directly from Minnesota high schools. Forty percent
of our students come from outside Minnesota, including 34 different
countries.
Cobbers are high achievers. One-third
of our students come from the top 10 percent of their high school classes
and nearly three-quarters are from the top 30 percent.
While activities and social life are
part of college, Cobbers expect their academic experiences to come
first and are serious about establishing a clear sense of career direction.
Christian values provide a strong
foundation for Cobbers who respect differences and who strive to grow
their appreciation for the strength diversity provides.
