The Cobber Career Network is a unique opportunity for currently enrolled Concordia
students to connect with professionals in their area of occupational interest. Although
the intention of CCN is not to provide jobs, students will be networking with
people in the world of work. Students will be provided with information
such as:
Developing professional skills, habits, and
ethics
Career/life balance advice
The importance of work-related experience
prior to graduation
Information regarding your occupational field
Community and geographical information
To register for the Cobber Career Network, students must do the following:
Register with the Career Center. If you have not yet registered
with the Career Center click here.
Email the Career Center with your
name, year, major/career interests, and the job description number in which
you are interested. If you do not see a job
description that fits your need, feel free to complete the registration
process and the Career Center staff will try to find a match for you. To
view job descriptions click here.
Attach a Word document to your email as to why you would like to participate
in the CCN program. You should include in your statement professional
plans and goals, personal goals for your life as a whole, and questions you
have about your future career. Also attach your resume if you have
one available.
You will be notified by the Career Center once a match is made. It will be
the student's responsibility to make initial contact within one week of a match
being made. Failure to do so may result in suspension from the program.
The Career Center staff will be available to you if at any time you have questions
or concerns regarding the Cobber Career Network. This includes before,
during, and after the matching process.
